Martin has been restoring furniture for over 20 years, since 1981. Having
learnt his trade from an English restorer who specialised in using traditional
methods, Martin has continued to use these purist techniques. He has worked with the National Trust on many important items of furniture in historic homes, including Lanyon Homestead and Calthorpes House. He also conserves furniture for the Australiana Fund which have collections in the Prime Minister's Lodge, Government House in Canberra and Admiralty and Kirribilli House in Sydney. Whilst enjoying work using traditional methods, he is also skilled with modern finishes and can offer the latest in finishing technology. |
